Oh Where Art Thou Spring?
My first seed packets ever!! I'm sick of this winter and want to start planting! After reading tons of urban gardening magazines at ye local B&N, I chose these seeds as my newbie starter set. I'm planning to start the lettuce seed blend indoors first. Maybe my black thumb will finally turn a grayish-green!

Post V-Day Breakfast
I had an insomniac moment and was awake literally at the crack of dawn this morning. I think I got about 4 hours of sleep, maybe. It's not unusual. So what is a girl supposed to do? Of course, make BREAKFAST!! My favorite meal of the day!

I Luv Brownies!
I'm not too fond of Valentine's Day, but I do like having an excuse to bake something sweet and chocolatey!! I cheated though. I'm still looking for that perfect brownie recipe and have not found one yet. I made these from a box but instead of the 2 tablespoons of water, I added 2 tablespoons of strong coffee!! Mmmm... chocolate + coffee = YUM!

Happy Chinese New Year!
In honoring Chinese New Year (it's the year of the Rabbit) I am trying to retain any good fortune I had in the year before, which wasn't that much really. As superstitions go, you aren't supposed to use knives today as it will cut off the good luck that you already had. I was going to sew, but wasn't too sure if scissors are taboo as well. It may be better to be safe than sorry.
So, instead, I started to take apart this macrame bag that I started last year. Let me tell you, untying little tiny knots sucks royally but I was compelled to do it today in hopes of starting and finishing this project by spring. The creative force is strong today! I hope by doing this, it will build more creative energy this year! May you all have more creativity and prosperity in the Year of the Rabbit! Happy Chinese New Year!
